Bedroom 1 – Tatami – 20 sqm
With views of the property’s rock gardens, the first bedroom sleeps 2 guests in traditional Japanese bedding style, with 2 single futon beds placed on straw flooring. Ensuite is a bathroom with shower, bath, and toilet.
Bedroom 2 – 25 sqm
With views of the property’s rock gardens, 2 guests can sleep in either 1 king double or 2 single beds. There is a private workspace, an ensuite toilet and separate bathroom with a tub and shower.
Bedroom 3 – Master – 30 sqm
This master suite features generous space, sleeping 2 guests in 1 king-size bed. There is a walk-in closet and a seating space with a desk. The ensuite bathroom comes with a separate toilet, tub and shower hidden away behind the headboard. Its private-access balcony enjoys views of lower Hirafu.
Bedroom 4 – Kids’ room – 20 sqm
The bunk room is next door to the fifth bedroom, with 2 bunk bed sets for up to 4 guests. This room has floorspace to lay out additional futons for up to 6 sharing, taking advantage of a shared bathroom with shower next door.
Bedroom 5 – 25 sqm
The fifth bedroom is spacious, with views of property’s private rock garden and a king sized bed sleeping up to 2 guests. There are sofa armchairs and a coffee table, plus a desk for a private workspace. The ensuite bathroom features a bathtub and rain shower.
Bedroom 6 & 7 – Tatami additional bedding
Two separate (smaller) tatami rooms are included, and the configuration of sleeping arrangements can be discussed on request.
Ori is situated at the bottom of the village, and it is an uphill walk of around fifteen minutes to the ski lifts, being one of the very few houses in Hirafu that has a truly secluded setting.
Private transport is well facilitated by the internal-access garage and heated driveway. 2 minutes away there are a bunch of restaurants and bars. A convenience store and ski lifts are some 15 minutes’ stroll from the house.

A world-class ski destination, Niseko receives 14m of snow per season on average. Offering 38 lifts, 4 developed, inter-linked resorts, 47km of groomed slopes, 1000m of vertical, and the longest run stretching 5600m, Niseko is the largest of Hokkaido’s ski areas, and overall the most well-rounded winter resort on the island.
There is a good mix of groomed runs for all levels, from first-timers through expert powder hounds. There is also a terrain park with half-pipes, table tops, round quarters and rails etc… a variety of terrain to suit boarders of different abilities.
That being said, novices going down the slope for the first time may want to avoid the crowds in peak powder season and consider some of the quieter times (spring).

DRIVING IN JAPAN
It is not possible to drive in Japan with just your driving licence issued in your home country. Japan only recognises International Driving Permits based on the 1949 Geneva Convention. Before arriving in Japan you must obtain your International Driving Permit from the national Automobile Association in the country which issued your licence. Airport transfer
The drive is between 2–3 hours from New Chitose Airport to Niseko.
Your driver will meet you at the airport arrival gate and then drive you the 2.5 – 3 hours to Hirafu and drop you at the door of your accommodation. You will be greeted and checked in by a dedicated staff, who be on stand by to provide handy tourist information about the Hirafu ski resort and your chalet. Rates vary depending on group number and vehicle used. Get in touch for details.
– Limousine service
If you are looking for a luxury way of traveling, you can also choose a limousine service. The 6-7 seater vehicle can be likened to a private jet, with luxurious white leather reclining armchairs, full cabin attendance and complimentary refreshments. The passenger area is fully equipped with a toilet, refrigerator, television, CD and DVD.
