Necker Island is Sir Richard Branson’s luxury private island in the British Virgin Islands, just north of Virgin Gorda.

The Caribbean island operates like a resort and can accommodate up to 34 guests, with additional room for 6 children.

Necker Island is spread over 74 acres with a 3-mile perimeter. Necker is undoubtedly the definition of a luxury party island, but our version of luxury isn’t just about inviting beds, top class food, the latest activities and the best facilities, although you can of course expect all of these.

In the past it’s been called barefoot luxury, but the feeling we aim to create when you arrive on island, whether it’s your first time or your 15th, is one of coming home.

Bringing renewable energy to the picturesque island, Necker is among the most eco-friendly luxury resorts in the world.

The buildings capture cool thermal airflows, eliminating the need for air conditioners, and guests’ food comes from an organic orchard, while beach buggies are powered by biofuels.

The Great House is a spacious al fresco style Balinese villa, with amazing panoramic views of the Caribbean, the Atlantic and neighboring islands.

Each of the 8 guest rooms in the Great House has a balcony, and all come with king-size beds, most of which can be twinned, and ensuite bathrooms.

On the upper level you’ll find the Master Suite, complete with private outdoor Jacuzzi and outdoor bath.

In addition, 6 beautiful private houses are built in authentic Balinese style and each can accommodate a couple.

There are a number of trails crossing the island. You can also walk all the way round.

From the Great House it’s a leisurely 6-7 minute walk to Main Beach where most of the activities are based and where you’ll find the Beach House and Crocodile Pavilion.

The resort offers plenty of things for children to do and babysitters can also be arranged with all babysitting services incurring an additional charge.
Kids can stay in the super-equipped Bunk Room at the Great House which is full of toys, books, and video games. We have cots, baby baths and other baby essentials, available on request. Babysitting is provided at an additional cost. Children’s meals can be provided anytime. Choose from a selection of tasty, well balanced, healthy and fun meals keeping both the parents and kids happy!
