Odin Place, New lifestyle landmark of Niseko Hirafu

A new addition to the resort village’s increasingly metropolitan landscape, stylish Odin Place is a design lover’s dream.

A new landmark had been in the making and finally opened its doors in December 2016. Odin Place is on the corner of bustling Zaka Street, which marks the center of the village, amid alpine chalets and condos. Rising three levels, the contemporary architecture of the mall fits into both the landscape and the surrounding village. Windows in timber walls are highlighted by dark steel frames, offer views of the village as well as Mount Yotei.

Odin Place houses retailers such as Burtan Snowboards, Zaka and Moncler, and several new restaurants and cafés. Complete with ample public space and an indoor-outdoor fireplace at the entrance as an iconic meeting point. This shop-live-dine hub is where culture, leisure and lifestyle smoothly blend together.

The dining outlets are created in collaboration with Eight, whose team is known in Niseko for high-profile projects that include The Barn. They have a knack for connecting modern and practical design that stands out, while still working in harmony with Hirafu’s scenic village vibe. The Alpinist brings a modern take on traditional dining reflected in the old-meets-new interiors, whereas Koko’s restrained palette and ink wash-inspired décor showcases a distinct Japanese influence.
