Next to and almost identical with Chalet Mangetsu, Asahi is a beautifully appointed luxury chalet ideally located minutes from restaurants, bars, and the free shuttle.

Offering breathtaking views of the resort and the spectacular Mt Yotei, this chalet is perfect for large groups with a sister lodge next door.

The two lodges combine to accommodate up to 20 comfortably to make your special occasion an even more remarkable one.

Starting from the dual entry lower level, access is through the entranceway genkan that features a dry room with generous racking for boots and equipment.

This level is also the location of a sauna, bathroom, toilet as well as a media room and a king size bedroom that is enclosed behind soji doors and features tatami style flooring.

The house comes with five bedrooms, four of which has an e-suite bathroom. There are two additional toilets for guests. One of the lavishly appointed bathrooms has a private sauna that sits up to eight.

Asahi’s open plan living and dining area is connected to the fully equipped western kitchen.

The kitchen has stone bench tops and a 4-burner gas cooktop with overhead extraction in addition to the other “L” shaped bench top and sink. The dining area has individually controlled lighting and seating for up to 8 people. This entire side of the level is surrounded by full height glazing that offers views of both My Yotei and the nearby Grand Hirafu ski resort.

This room offers a cozy hangout spot for big groups. The media room has a selection of board games, DVDs, and CDs and entertainment facilities separate to the TV and lounge setting in the main living room.

Guests can take advantage of a selection of books, DVDs and CDs.

The dedicated children play area, meanwhile, has a variety of board games to keep the younger ones entertained.

Bedroom 1 – 18 sqm
On the ground floor next door to the media room and sauna, 2 guests sleep in either 1 king double or 2 single beds.
Bedroom 2 – 22 sqm
The second bedroom shares floor space with the kitchen, dining and living room. 1 queen size bed sleeps up to two guests. Ensuite is a bathroom with separate toilet, bath, and shower. There is a walk-in closet, access to the second level balcony and windows overlooking the forests of Hirafu Village.
Bedroom 3 & 4 – 35 sqm
The third and fourth bedrooms both sleep two guests on either 1 king double or 2 single beds. Bedroom 3 has an ensuite with bathtub and 4 an ensuite with shower. Both rooms look over the forests and hills.
Bedroom 5 – Master – 30 sqm
The fifth bedroom is on the third level of the lodge with private balcony access, a walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom with shower. Two guests can sleep on either 1 king double or 2 single beds.
Asahi Lodge is on the outskirts of Hirafu in the exclusive, quiet Izumikyo 3 precinct (East Hirafu), surrounded by other chalets a forest setting with a creek nearby.
JoJo’s Café inside the Niseko Adventure Centre (NAC) is just 100m away; Izumikyo 2, which has a small selection of restaurants and cafes, is 150m walk; and the main Hirafu Village which has more restaurants than you know what to do with is about 300m away.

A world-class ski destination, Niseko receives 14m of snow per season on average. Offering 38 lifts, 4 developed, inter-linked resorts, 47km of groomed slopes, 1000m of vertical, and the longest run stretching 5600m, Niseko is the largest of Hokkaido’s ski areas, and overall the most well-rounded winter resort on the island.
There is a good mix of groomed runs for all levels, from first-timers through expert powder hounds. There is also a terrain park with half-pipes, table tops, round quarters and rails etc… a variety of terrain to suit boarders of different abilities.
That being said, novices going down the slope for the first time may want to avoid the crowds in peak powder season and consider some of the quieter times (spring).

DRIVING IN JAPAN
It is not possible to drive in Japan with just your driving licence issued in your home country. Japan only recognises International Driving Permits based on the 1949 Geneva Convention. Before arriving in Japan you must obtain your International Driving Permit from the national Automobile Association in the country which issued your licence. Airport transfer
The drive is between 2–3 hours from New Chitose Airport to Niseko.
Your driver will meet you at the airport arrival gate and then drive you the 2.5 – 3 hours to Hirafu and drop you at the door of your accommodation. You will be greeted and checked in by a dedicated staff, who be on stand by to provide handy tourist information about the Hirafu ski resort and your chalet. Rates vary depending on group number and vehicle used. Get in touch for details.
– Limousine service
If you are looking for a luxury way of traveling, you can also choose a limousine service. The 6-7 seater vehicle can be likened to a private jet, with luxurious white leather reclining armchairs, full cabin attendance and complimentary refreshments. The passenger area is fully equipped with a toilet, refrigerator, television, CD and DVD.
