Hidden in an ancient valley on the western edge of Phuket, The Naka Phuket is Duangrit Bunnag’s most daring hotel to date, with glass-built villas cantilevering out from the mountainside.

An outdoor pool is attached to each of the secluded living spaces, offering guests all the privacy they need to find their natural equilibrium.

Unlike anything else on the island, the 94-cantilevered villas jutting out of the mountainside give you a ringside seat to the spectacular blue of the Andaman Sea. While the villas are decked out with all the modern conveniences, the real treat is enjoying the sound of the waves softly crashing on the sand from your private balcony or infinity pool.

Privacy and serenity are guaranteed, but for those seeking adventure, Phuket City is only a 20-minute taxi ride away.

At the center of The Naka are four wooden pavilions, while the pagoda-like lobby is built around a series of upright columns, making the most of natural ventilation.
Thai architect Duangrit Bunnag used a steel-framed matchbox form for the villas with wraparound, floor-to-ceiling glass walls. The one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas have warm teak flooring, calming grey on the walls, and natural stone in the bathrooms where oversized rain showers complete the tropical experience.
Guests can also unwind in the hotel's Olympic-sized infinity pool, or feel the powder-fine sand between their toes on the wave-lapped private beach.
The low-profile villas (available with one, two and three bedrooms) make privacy a priority. Their wide glass façades are hidden among the trees, with simple stone walls adding to the sense of seclusion. From the private pools outside, guests can admire Bunnag’s bold cantilever design, which leaves bedrooms and lounging areas floating in midair.
Tantalizing fresh market produce is served at the hotel's three restaurants, including The Wiwa, which sits along a natural watercourse that Bunnag ingeniously integrated into his final design.
At the rooftop spa, which overlooks the forest and the ocean, cicadas provide the spellbinding soundtrack to soothing body scrubs and massages.
While Kamala boasts an array of local and international cuisine—from a German bakery to an Argentinian steakhouse—the town’s real beauty is the surrounding nature: Kamala beach lays to the north, while a lush woodland hides two smaller beaches to the south.

Book a car with us and have it waiting at your villa when you arrive, we have a wide range of vehicles from a 2 seat Suzuki Jeep to a 7 seat Toyota Fortuner. Price includes comprehensive insurance, unlimited miles, collection and delivery, and optional baby and booster seats.
Prior to your arrival we will send you a food and wine shopping list allowing us to stock the villa with your favorite foods and beverages.
Once on site, your resident villa staff will ensure the villa is kept clean and tidy. Your villa manager is available to cater to guests’ specific needs and can help organize island activities, massage and spa treatments, as well as helping communicate requests to the Thai chef and dealing with any matter arising at the villa. Bed linen is changed every third day and towels are changed as necessary. Pool towels are provided and replenished as deemed necessary.
